Japanese kiriwood ranma (transom) with hand-painted chrysanthemums represents the royal family, sun, perfection, and longevity. Display as an art piece or use as headboard. Transoms were originally used in between rooms above doorways as decorative elements. Taisho period, circa 1920s.
